Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. She is known for her roles in television and in film from the mid-80s onwards, she's been awarded numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt who lived in New York New York. Bassett, her sister and their mother relocated into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father divorced their mother. Bassett chose to become an actress after she saw the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). The year 1997 was the time she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1981. Masters of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action adventure film, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
